I don’t understand the uptick for creationism within politics. Faith is personal. It’s not something to be legislated. We’re not a theocracy.

Somewhere along the line, some folks have lost their way in the Republican party. Badly.

It’s an outgrowth of the push to get creationists into the school boards and other low level elected positions throughout the country. Those positions have been traditional stepping stones into higher offices and are being used as such.
