Pelosi and Steny Hoyer are both Baltimore/Marylanders originally.

Pelosi’s dad was Mayor of Baltimore; perhaps Steny Hoyer resents Princess Pelosi’s rise in California, and being 3rd most powerful person after the President.

Bloody Interdemocrat rivalry works for me. Let the sharp knives come out!

Hoyer has always followed Pelosi’s lead, though.
