I think some suicides are cowardly. Someone who has committed a horrible crime and kills themselves rather than face justice. Some suicides are horribly selfish: fathers who kill themselves and leave notes blaming their wife and family. Etc.

This wasn’t anything like that. Nor are most suicides.

I really hope people here aren’t reading into my comments above as suggesting that I concur with the Shep Smith opinion. My comments directly repudiate it.
