I’ve traveled and worked all over the world. Every time I go to India my mother is convinced I’m going to die from either a terrorist attack or smallpox. When I go to Kenya she is absolutely positive I’m going to end up in the middle of a civil war.

I have pointed out she seems very chill about me going to London, despite recent bombings.

She didn’t like me much for what I was implying.

Well, my father-in-law did get a nasty case of dysentery in India about 30 years ago. On the other hand, my grandfather spent 6 months there around 1960 and loved it. Never got sick either.
