You aren’t thinking like a campaign. That dollar donation also gives the campaign, and the Democratic Party going forward, valuable information for the GOTV database. Hypothetically it helps them win elections up and down ticket well into the future. Also, the person who donates one dollar is more likely to donate more later.

Maybe if GOTV = Give over teh VALLET! It’s like texting to a campaign - puts your number in their databse.

BTW, I took my MIL to register this morning. She registered as Decline To State. I said “Really?” She said, “Well, I’ll vote Democrat anyway”…DTS…maybe I wasn’t far off when I teased her that she’d hook up with some old hedonist at the retirement home and head to Burning Man before summer’s end.
