Here is a story about a screening of his movie…

Washington D.C.: 150 Attend Anti-Jihad Movie Event

On Wednesday night, February 11th, over 150 Washington D.C. area residents attended the premiere screening of the film Homegrown Jihad: The Terrorist Camps Around U.S. at a Washington D.C. theater. The film screening was sponsored by the Christian Action Network that co-produced the film along with PRB films, directed by Christian Action Network president Martin Mawyer. The film documents the activities of the Jamaat ul-Fuqra organization and its front organization “Muslims of America,” led by Pakistani Islamic cleric Sheikh Mubarak Ali Gilani, and their 35 camps around the United States. The documentary references a 2006 Regional Organized Crime Information Center report that states that Ali Gilani is “known as an international terrorist” and that Jamaat ul-Fuqra has “more than 3,000 members spread across the United States, all in support of one goal: the purification of Islam through violence.”

The film shows segments from an internal terrorist training video by Sheikh Mubarak Ali Gilani, entitled “Soldiers of Allah.” As the Christian Action Network documentary explains, the “Soldiers of Allah” “Islamic military warfare” training video “teaches American students how to operate AK-47 rifles, rocket launchers, and machine guns; how to kidnap Americans and then kill them; how to conduct sabotage and subversive operations; and how to use mortars and explosives.” As shown in the documentary, Ali Gilani tells his members “We are fighting to destroy the enemy. We are dealing with evil at its roots and its roots are America.”

The Washington D.C. audience was invited to attend the premiere screening by the Christian Action Network through e-mails, promotion of the event by anti-jihad web sites and organizations, and local radio promotion by Washington D.C. area’s WAVA-FM radio host Don Kroah. Local activist groups also promoted the anti-jihad event, with attendance by DC area activist leaders Catherine Martin (ACT!For America – Northern Virginia & DC Metro Chapter), John Cosgrove (United American Committee, Virginia Chapter), and Jeffrey Imm (Anti-Jihad League of America), among others. A number in the audience expressed interest in further follow-on activities to bring the war of ideas to the America public.
