It was not that phone call that affected me nearly so much as what I read in the koran soon after. I’ve largely ignored religious issues for most of my life, until 911. Even then, I found myself contemplating the supposed inclusiveness of islam, as a possible sign of something positive in it. But I’ve researched it much more since, and realize that my optimism was unwarranted.

My perceptions don’t match yours, but thank you, I appreciate your giving me some insight into where you’re coming from.
