Right, but McKenna is running a lot of ads when compared to the other GOP candidates. Wait until after the primary and it is either Quinn or Hynes. Once the machine gets involved, the ads for the Dem are going to be through the roof. You won’t beat them with ads.

When you get right down to it we have to remember this is a solid blue state. A Republican can win, and has in the past, but I’m not sure McKenna is the guy to convince Democratic voters to vote GOP. The Dems will paint his as a party insider, a career politician. And it will work. Because he is.

I like Schillerstrom. He ran DuPage County really smoothly. The county is bigger than six states and was always fiscally responsible. Under his command, the government shrunk every single year without any noticable decrease in government services. Now that’s a message you can sell.
