Very much so at the moment. Whether Newt wishes to acknowledge it or not, the private sector has no interest in space so long as there’s no profit in it. And right now, the only profit seen in it is taking rich folks up for a few minutes of weightlessness.

The problem is more longterm profit vs shortterm profit.

Our current system is kind of designed to sell out the former for the latter.
