I suggested a week or two ago these people form a Christian Fundamentalist party and see how well they do if they think they’re so damn strong in the party. I think they’ve decided to hijack the GOP instead, so I don’t know. Maybe it’s time for a good right-wing moderate to run independently.

I agree and I’ve been suggesting that as well. If this meltdown continues, maybe that will happen. However, I have my doubts. The American system is so wedded to two parties that it is now almost impossible to conceive of somebody even having a remote chance of winning anything outside of either one - apart from in a New England state or something.

And after reading comments at FR just now about Charles, it appears that we’re in the midst of another huge fight which we’ve had a few years ago starting with the Eurofacists. This time, it looks like it could be even bigger. Seriously, I feel like it’s coming to a head this very moment and may continue for some time.
