China is finally making public statements on the issue:

Obama met with South Korean President Lee at the G-20 meeting. No doubt they discussed the missile test.

Great link. I’d bet you’re right about Obama and Lee discussing this, but not sure what Obama’s position might have been. And China’s “not opposed” stance is a little weak for my taste, but it’s sure better than nothing.
