Those pads in Ice (the only) Hockey don’t do much when you’re smashed into the corners or open ice by a 6 ft +200 lbs Canuck skating at 20 to 30 mph or a frozen piece of vulcanized rubber flying at 70-90 mph unless you’re the goalie.

So you are making my point… the measure of a hockey is to get beaten half to death and avoid being hit by a damned piece of hard plastic.
