In Afghanistan we helped establish a [really expensive] hardline theocracy with democratic elections and a pirate for a president. Not really occasion to celebrate, and believing in a different or better outcome is naive. And while doing this, we set ourselves up for one of the longest and most expensive babysitting gigs in history. On top of that, the kids have shown they’re rather unlikeable and dangerous.
