I have a hard time believing that there are enough gay, two-parent adoptive families out there to form the basis of a meaningfully large control group.
there really aren’t. unfortunately, there are enough similar situations (single mom with help from sister or her mom) which simulate a one-gender upbringing. kids can certainly succeed in that kind of loving home. it’s a disadvantage, not a disorder.
i firmly believe that gay parents can provide a great home. at the same time, i am tired of the meme that only bigotry prevents us from saying that a male/female couple doesn’t inherit a distinct advantage.
