You got the brain trust and the tech industry and the music scene there, all these smart people, they must be livid

Livid is putting it mildly. Folks are organizing and going to school district meetings and events to get their voices heard. I’ve seen yard signs and placards all over the place protesting the closure of one of the elementary schools in my area. It’s been around for over 60 years and has always rated highly, but it’s on the chopping block. And that’s just for one school out of the 15 or so they’re threatening to close.

I’ve been here since 1998 and have never seen anything like it.
