there are republican voters in those blue states (not deep rural red states). they voted for their congresscritter who may be an R. piss them off enough and maybe they wont next time, let alone state and local, or president in 2020

You may be right on a small scale, but we’ve seen where the hope of ‘coming to Jesus’ moments from the Republican base gets us. Hint: there are more of those ‘crawl over molten glass’ voters than polls will ever give credit for.
