I dunno. Given our country’s earlier treatment of black people, i think it’s perfectly acceptable that they might vote en masse along ethnic lines. I also think it’s perfectly acceptable to publicly pine for the day when it will no longer be thus. That’ll be a good day for everyone.

But the numbers don’t play out for racism, is what the man’s implying. 11% of the national vote is already the Black vote.

I don’t feel it’s wrong anyway to vote for a person because he’s Black. I mean, in the sense that people do that all the time. Handsome and/or pretty very often influence choice. Clinton got a lot of new votes, too. Some folks are so pissed off at that, in fact, they want to have tests to be allowed to vote. My feeling is, at least you get people engaged and that’s usually a positive thing.
