I have to agree here. Lord knows I had and still do have a lot of legitimate gripes with Bush but I think he handled that as well as he could given the situation. What I cannot defend though is how Bush handled Afghanistan. I really thought we messed up big time by switiching gears to to Iraq not even two years after 9/11.

Speaking as a military person and a very amateur historian, I found their conduct of war appalling.
