Unfortunately I don’t quite believe it. I can foresee his local career remaining viable since all this will be portrayed in the media as a “witch hunt” to get Christie in any way possible. And a sufficient number of NJ voters will buy into it because they want to.

His popularity poll numbers have been in a downward slide since last year, and I don’t think there’s any real way to revive them. It’s hard to play this “bipartisan politician” act twice when you’ve got Democrats putting your inner circle away for fucking with a major transit hub because the mayor wouldn’t support your reelection bid.
