You mean the Nato standard 7.62x51 which is a close fit to .308 rounds? They fire the same projectile but NATO/mil spec rounds have a thicker casing to better handle the higher pressures associated with the rounds?(I.E. can fire .308 rounds from an M-60 if you need to but I wouldn’t pop a 7.62 into my 308 due to the chance of catastophic receiver failure.)(or .223 and 5.56 rounds for that matter allthough most ruger mini-14’s are Mil Spec) Or did you mean you didn’t know hte fire arm not the round.

well then they are CETME’s. some will be .308 specific.
I was not aware of the difference.

I did know the diff on .223 v 5.56… 20 some percent increase in pressure, and slightly different shape on the casing even though same head space. (I got the RRA wylde chamber so I wouldn’t have to worry)

it’d be the chamber that’d fail not the receiver though, right?
