On the refrigerator assembly line, the guards used to check incoming lunch boxes as well as the outgoing. They kept the alcohol so scarce that the hard-core guys made wine in their changing lockers:

1 can of Welches grape juice/ 1 cake of bakers’ yeast/ 2 lbs sugar/ fill remaining gallon jug with water, put balloon over spout. When the balloon inflates and deflates it’s party time.

Mmmm. Replace the yeast with a piece of bread and you have the makings of a high quality prison wine.
