The last big storm I was on the East Coast for was three days after I’d taken a job in DC in 1988. Was staying with friends of my parents in Bowie, MD (between Annapolis and DC) while I was apartment hunting. Since I had Veteran’s Day off I was in Alexandria looking at apartments.

That day the DC area got about 18 inches of snow…

Last big snow here, 42 inches, 4 weeks ago, a lot of it still on the ground.
