One of the more interesting developments in the past 6+ years has been the degree of distance W and the GOP have put between them-selves. At first I thought this was a GOP reaction to the final years of W’s presidency, not wanting to be associated with it, etc. Now I think it might have as much to do with W’s not wanting anything to do with them.
