Castle Cagliostro popped up in my brain immediately when I saw that! Interesting trivia is that Princess Clarise’s car, at least the one she tries to escape in, is a Citroen 2CV (“Deu Chevaux”, “two-horse”) that the director, Miyazaki, owned at one point. Great movie.

It’s worth watching just to see all the stuff that later references it be it in live action, or other animated works (see Batman fighting the Clock King…) not to mention the little bits of attention to detail they paid like having all the guns be based on real life firearms…
