Good morning FrogMarch - it has and it hasn’t been a defining staple of the Left - it has led the left into some bizarre situations however. All those folks at AIG who were “stalked” (for want of a better word) were stalked by folks from the Democratic Party which is “the party of the poor and downtrodden” and is definitely Left wing and yet there are more millionaires and multi-millionaires in Congress from the Democratic Party than from the Republican party.
So it’s sorta the rich telling the poor to “Sic those dirty bastids” for daring to take a $300,000 bonus and then flying off to Vail or Aspen in their private planes to let the unwashed masses do their dirty work for ‘em.
I think the Left is more of a party of hypocrites than is the Republican party as well.
