Not admitting to having understood most of what you just said, I can see intuitively that there would be more real numbers than integers, since each integer could be broken into an infinite number of fractional components between one and the next “in line” so to speak, like the fractions of 1/4 1/2 etc between 0 and 1. Now, this thinking is likely (probably) all wet, but it makes farmer’s sense if no other.
