For the 2nd day in a row, Rasmussen reports Obama’s strongly approve/strongly disapprove difference to be negative. Today and yesterday are the first two days since inauguration that this has happened.
Gallup reports 57% approval - a new low in their poll.
Meanwhile the NYT reports that 98.8% of Americans want a public healthcare option (snark).
Nate Silver reported early on that popularity in the high 50’s was not historically viable and that at best, a popular POTUS would be lucky to maintain 50 %. If anything, the country is becoming more polarized as shown by lower ratings for recent POTUS’s.
