Oh, I had anger issues. Thus the hitting stuff. I used to be very violent and get into fights. Then I started taking organized violence classes— jujitsu and then boxing/kickboxing, and got control of my rage.

But yeah, a good way to permanently fall out of my good graces is calling a girl a slut or talking about her in any sort of predatory fashion. It just makes me completely cold.

The bonus part of this was that it made me prefer female friends to male friends, and so I learned a hell of a lot about women that I probably wouldn’t have otherwise, which came in handy later.
