That’s not just bad science, it’s also bad theology.

Maimonodes told us a thousand years ago, if actual evidence in the real world contradicts what you thought the scripture says, if it contradicts what you thought was the word of God… then the scripture doesn’t actually say what you thought it said. You’re reading it wrong.

Always amazing to read how guys like Maimonodes and Aquinas lived centuries ago and yet had a more forward way of looking at the world than many people here in 2013.But I suppose that is why we still discuss them today because they were ahead of their time.
