Yeah, I’ve just never been in an apartment building for a big storm before. I only saw the air conditioning recommendation on one site, and I think it’s pretty half-baked, myself.

I’m in the middle of Manhattan, on the 4th floor, so I won’t have to worry about floods. We’ve got tons of food, tons of water, tons of already-ground coffee, some concentrated iced coffee if our gas goes out, tons of cat food, lots of food, batteries, an AM radio, batteries, lighters, candles. etc. etc. etc.

I think it’s over-hyped too, but preparation isn’t a bad thing. On the evacuation stuff, I have no clue, not being anything close to an expert.
