No. That’s a legal principle, not an epistemological one. That only means a state cannot do anything to you unless you’ve been convicted by a proper court. It doesn’t mean you’re actually innocent. Many well-known murderers were never convicted. I could Godwin the thread right now, but I’ll go with a lighter example - OJ is guilty of murder, but he was never convicted in a criminal court.
