I would disagree that those people are actually fiscal conservatives, though. mainly, they don’t approach an actual understanding of fiscal matters enough to approach a real policy position.

“Taxed Enough Already” is an inherently idiotic phrase.

There are certainly groups seeking to co-opt the message and power that comes with a constituency and they include bad people with bad agendas.

I have yet to see a Tea Party candidate or group that promotes a good agenda. Can you show me one?

As you said the movement is not quite coherent and time will tell if the heart and soul of the conservative movement will allow itself to be corrupted by racism and hate or if they will kick the bigots to the curb like the Democrats did towards the end of the civil rights movement.

Brietbart is a big star for the RNC. Alex Jones is embraced.

I think time has told.
