Okay, you are all dumping on Marney. She may be ficticious or she may be real. Think about this for a second though. How many of you have family members that need stuff spelled out explicitly to get the point?

I’ve been around enough women for whom ‘hosting’ a family event is actually an excuse to play martyr and tell other people what to do. This goes way beyond just asking for reasonable help or contribution.

It’s also basically the opposite of being a gracious hostess, but there you go.
