Been there already above. They were not homophobic because they were atheists. They were homophobic because they were Communists.

Looking in my Holy Book of the Gospel of Nothing: Nope, can’t find a reference to “kill the gays.” That would be in Leviticus.

They aren’t homophobic because of their religion. They’re homophobic, then look to whatever holy book they follow. The Bible’s chock full of excuses for hating stuff. All you gotta do is dig for your particular hatred.

Christ, the whole “Pro Life” movement claims to be based on religion, and there’s NOT ONE WORD in the Bible about it! Ask any “Pro Lifer” and listen to the handwaving bullshit they come up with.
