That’s been a popular talking point (that the evil Israelis, who aren’t allowing “luxury items” like coriander and other spices into Gaza, are causing unnecessary suffering), and I recently read somewhere that the “list” of items was actually a list of items that was deduced as having been banned, from interviews with private shop owners in Gaza.
In other words, if no Gaza shop had a specific spice, this Human Rights Organization listed it as “banned” and circulated that list.
Coriander is not a luxury in Middle eastern cooking, it is an essential ingredient.
