First off, I in no way agree with this mother stance, or in any person who turns to their faith over medical science.

But, on the purely theological side of things, this sort of action is the ultimate test of faith, and people like this woman are displaying more faith in g-d than most Sunday christians.

Well, so did this woman, in a much more intense way than most religionist I know. Yet we damn her for her faith.

I don’t understand.

Walter, for me, it isn’t that I wish to “damn” her for her faith.

It’s that I believe she is showing a lack of faith, in that in refusing to seek medical treatment for her child, she is exhibiting a lack of trust in what God has provided us through the intelligence He gives us, and that is, medical science and the ability to control disease.
