[Pi] Owner Chris Sommers is an early Obama supporter who, during election season, put up some well-fed Obama campaign staffers at his Central West End home.

Sommers first met Obama in 2007 at a private fundraiser in Ladue. There, he struck up a friendship with Reggie Love, a former college basketball star who has become one of Obama’s closest aides.

When Obama returned to St. Louis in October for a campaign event that brought more than 80,000 to the Jefferson National Expansion Memorial, it was Love who suggested the candidate try Pi for lunch.

Aha! And Reggie Love attended Obama’s Passover seder Thursday night!

There you have it! Clearly a conspiracy… !
