The outrage over Obama’s census choice is equal parts ignorance and ODS.

People with one black parent have historically been DEFINED by the (white) society around them as “black.” Obama didn’t create this system, nor can he transcend it.

The implication that Obama is disrespecting his white ancestry is borderline racial purity paranoia, brought to you by the same folks who think he prays to Mecca and doesn’t have a birth certificate.

I also think it started out as the urban myth that ACORN would be conducting the surveys door to door. Another one is that the data collection agency is run by a secret battalion of the Communist central committee. Or something.

Kidding of course. But the ACORN myth was the big reason. It’s not true as we know since it’s a simple form. I wish taxes were this easy.
