If the regime were to fall, who would be the one to “handle” the nukes, either by claiming them or removing them? I would think our predators would be real useful at that point…

It’s not a regime, it’s a democratically elected coalition / parliamentary gov’t. Kayani has the nukes covered if fecal matter hits the fan.
