I agree with the nominal principle. Artists do art, writers write and painters paint regardless, but if they can gain and even thrive by letting them have the right to money earned from sales of their work that’s a good thing. My disagreement is that the artist’s heirs and THEIR heirs have that right to benefit. Death plus 20 years is arguably still too much, but I would be willing to accept it under the “widow and children” claim - Barely.

But death plus 70 makes me want to argue for 20 years period.
