As yma suggested earlier, this could show a Tamil Tiger/jihadist alliance of some sort.

It is a possibility - but if, as was said upthread, the Sri Lankan team was only standing in for the east indian one, then the Tigers may not have been able to do work out such an attack so quickly - they are being pretty much defeated right now.

I think it might have been meant for the Indian team - and they went ahead and did it anyway, as they’ve trained so hard for this …
And why should it matter anyway: they’re both infidels, Sri Lankans and Indians …
