of course it’s hypothetical, as are most (sports) arguments. “if if if” is the basis of most syllogisms and the socratic method. take out the hypotheticals, and most comments at espn (and lgf) would disappear.

he had two great receivers in the Marks, Duper and Clayton for years…Emmitt Smith was barely on the radar when he was drafted…he had a renowned SB winning coach….yadda yadda…if Marino was that good why didn’t he get his team to step up?…that argument is futile
