Thus you prove my point. You’re going to bust someone in the mouth because you disagree with them.
And yes, I do compare this stupid building which everyone is saying is not a mosque with WalMart in that somebody is trying to say that they are right because they own the land and can do what they want with it. That is exactly the argument WalMart used, and won in court with. It didn’t make them right. It’s a weak argument. What is legal is not what is always right. They may be right for the reasons some others here have stated, like not giving in to bigotry, or meeting the needs of the local Muslim population, or presenting a peaceful message to the rest of the nation…but not just because they can.
And rational debate and compromise and consideration of others’ feelings is lost to flame wars.
