The sad truth is that I expect it. I’ve had nasty encounters with Republicans at antiwar rallies. Encounter them at the gym. Plenty of them have told me they were glad that my son died. One time I encountered an idiot wearing a Cruz T-shirt and I let him have it. The guy tried to take a swing at me, he wound up with a shot of pepper spray in his face. Others cheered when they saw that piece of shit get splatted.

I know it doesn’t mean much coming from a stranger from behind a computer screen but you have my utmost sympathy for what happened to your son. It’s a pain that no parent should have to deal with and it just makes me sick that people have attacked you over it. Wingnuts love to talk about sacrifice and all that but they don’t know the meaning.
