Lying took too much work. Using a different first name, screening calls, making excuses for why I wouldn’t be home, etc… and with the advent of cell phones it’s almost impossible to get away with dating 3 or 4 different people without them eventually finding out. Being honest is much easier, especially if you only promise 2 things. 1. you’ll have fun 2. I’m probably going to sleep with your roommate.
