You must have gone to a much less conventional school than I did..Most of my conversations were about Joseph Campbell and things like that…(I was an religion/anthropology major)

My weirdest college conversation involved several of us getting very drunk in the college chapel after hours. At some point, one of the other women looked at me and said “Jesus was a Jew y’know.”

I said, “Yes, but not one we’re especially proud of. Fucking hippie.”

She now has a doctorate in Episcopal theology, and keeps threatening to quote me in an upcoming book.
