Dark’s parroting the conservative line that people can’t expect the government to take care of them. Besides…think how much fun he’ll have blogging about the “food riots over there” (not to mention the boost it will give to people selling defense seminar seats). Honestly, I don’t think he really thinks about his position, except to think it’s right(and unchangeable).

He’s stated unequivocally that he doesn’t think about his position, just supports or opposed them based on who said it.

In all honesty, given that admission, it’s almost unfair of us to argue with his positions like they have any sort of serious forethought, and I wouldn’t bother except for the fact that I think he still wants to actually consider ideas on their merits, though his entire thought process has evolved to do the opposite.
