Wait a second, Kenneth. I have read (I really wanted to find out) that there were NO scars — and, in fact, no doctor ever examined him. Certain “nay-sayers” who were sceptical about Arar’s claims said that all that was needed was for a doctor’s examination, yet he never had an exam (very, very few were actually sceptical about his claims, here in Canada, since the whole push by the media was towards blaming certain authorities — both Canadian and American — and posing Arar as the “victim” — the whole victim thing then came into full force). So, where are the doctor’s reports? iirc, they are non-existent. hence, all the “charges” were based on hearsay.
