If the threat of eternal hellfire and damnation isn’t enough to get people to kiss god’s butt and accept his kid as their savior, what’s to make us think the threat of death will deter crime?

Then again, maybe the threat of the death penalty is all that stands between conservatives and killing sprees.

How do you know that this damnation threat has not influenced anybody? But of course, for many, it’s not credible.
