Think of it this way: It doesn’t matter how people respond. If you put your thoughts here you get one, maybe two things out of it. One, regardless, you focus enough to give your thoughts and feeling some structure. It’s cathartic. You can even copy it and put it in a word processing file. Two, if people do react, you can maybe learn something, refine some of your ideas. Their response, even if criticism, helps you develop and expand your views. Even no response can tell you something. And at least you know that somebody read and maybe could later use, some of your thoughts. In many ways it is better than other forms of socialization. No noise, no distractions, or at least they are more under your control. Certain aspects of real-world relationships do not exist. Only the thoughts are here.
